The role

As a sommelier at noma you will be working in our wine cellar as well as with amazing brewers, distillers, roasters, and other artisans whom we collaborate with. Every season we develop a completely new assortment of drinks, from wine and juice pairings to custom tea blends, coffee roasts, beer selections, and cocktails. Our wine pairing is of great importance to us and ever-changing, as we work with only small scale producers. The kind of wine we serve are an integral part of noma’s philosophy, and a connection with natural wine and its makers is essential!

Here at noma we work as one team – meaning that your work is about more than wine. You need to learn about everything that goes on in our restaurant and become capable of working service as a senior section waiter. 

The right candidate for the position is also someone willing to make a long-term commitment. Once you get here, you will understand that one year is not enough. We can promise you that it is going to be fun, you’ll learn a lot and you will be part of what we consider to beone of the best teams on the planet: a team that constantly pushes.   • You will need a minimum of five years of restaurant experience working with natural wine as well as knowledge of classical wine.
  • We need you to be professional, positive, unpretentious, and curious. We place a huge emphasis on togetherness; one of the main foundations of noma’s culture.
  • You work well in the English language, and even better if you can work in a second or third.
